Fire and Ice: Frosty conditions lead to unsafe burning to cope with the cold

Please click on image to ENLARGE view of oil company aptly name for its recent situation. And read a poem submitted by Fran Alexander that reflects thoughts many people must have had during the recent ice storm that struck north Arkansas and many other states across the eastern half of the country. The timbered wetland at left in the photo is Tracy Hoskins' Victory Commons development site.

FIRE AND ICE
by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice ---Robert Frost
