Fayette Junction Kick-off

SEP 03 2008

The City of Fayetteville will holds its Kick-off for the Fayette Junction Master Plan on Thursday, September 4, 2008, 5:30 p.m. at Staybridge Suites. Neighborhood stakeholders, elected officials and Planning staff will gather to officially begin the Fayette Junction Master Plan project. Denele Campbell, who published an article about the history of Fayette Junction, will provide a brief talk about the area, and food will be provided by Foghorn's and Pig-N-Whistle.

This neighborhood plan will focus on the area along Razorback Road between I-540 and 15th Street, including Fayette Junction, the former center of Fayetteville's lumber industry at the turn of the 20th century. This area has the potential to be a shining example of a gateway into a city, transit-oriented development, clean-tech industrial growth and other ideas that stakeholders will bring to the table.

Staybridge Suites is at the corner of 15th Street and Razorback Road. Call 575-8267 with questions or visit http://cityplan2025.accessfayetteville.org.
