Flooding photos south Fayetteville, Arkansas, March 31, 2008

The small park is to the left of the photo. The treeline at left is the riparian zone of the west arm of the Town Branch of the West Fork of the White River. The stream flows from the west with tributaries from the Wal-Mart on Sixth Street and the ditches on Interstate 540 plus runoff from nearby mountains or hills, if you will.
James English, who lives nearby, said Monday that the water was much higher in 2004 and flowed through some houses along the stream.
