Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Shackleford of Benton pause from visiting with others interested in the future of
Fayettenam. Bruce is the environmental contractor who has kept Fayetteville's Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant in compliance with environmental rules for the Illinois River watershed and who has developed the wetland mitigation area for the city and has proposed creating a wetland-mitigation bank by adding an adjacent savanna/Oak Barrens upland mitigation bank to support the Woolsey Wet Prairie. Some are trying to talk Mrs. Shackleford into moving to Fayetteville and allowing Bruce to continue helping to protect Fayetteville's urban green infrastructure.
