Center Street Closed

FAYETTEVILLE - Center Street from Gregg Avenue to University Avenue has been closed indefinitely, said Ron Petrie, Fayetteville City Engineer.
"Washout areas under the street could compromise the integrity of the road surface, and city crews have determined that this portion of the road could be unsafe and should not remain open," Petrie said in a statement Wednesday.
The street will remain closed until drainage and sewer line improvement is complete.
