Canada goose raised in captivity adjusts to freedom but maintains friendship with human foster parent

Wayne Davis of rural Fayetteville pets a young Canada goose that he rescued a couple of months ago from a feral cat attack that left the rest of the brood of Canadas dead. The goose now flies to a nearby pond but flies back for security at night. Davis is expecting that it'll leave in another couple of months and begin interviewing potential mates among other younger-than-yearling honkers. Canada geese are known to mate for life, a rare and risky reproductive tactic in the natural world.

That is pretty land. Does that slope have seep springs? Has a developer got a project set to pave over it yet?
