Top photo honeybee on milkweed pod.
Second photo bug and bumblebee both visible when one clicks on image to ENLARGE.
Third photo shows milkweed flower before pod development begins and immature milkweed bugs attacking flower pods. Such milkweed bugs are largely responsible for destruction of pods before seed matures. I squash as many as I can AFTER making such photos! Do NOT spray insecticide on milkweed. That will kill the monarch caterpillars and other beneficial insects that may visit the plants.
