Magazine subscription salesman sits in his Chevy with the engine running as light snow falls Saturday evening in south Fayetteville, Arkansas. Such sales seem to show up in droves periodically

Please click on image to enlarge view of license plate of door-to-door salesman from out of town. These guys prey on the elderly, who sometimes buy because of a feeling of being intimidated or in sympathy will the sob stories some of these guys tell. Some cities require such salesmen to have permits. Check your local laws to learn whether a permit is required in your community. Keeping the engine running means this guy may need even more sales to break even. Burning up the profit doesn't evoke much sympathy.
