Eco-Logical Communities subject of Wednesday gathering at OMNI Center

Hey OMNI potluckers!

Both of last month's potlucks were a blast, featuring Chris Mikkelson's performance and the Summer of Solutions group presentation.  Plus, we got to enjoy delicacies like Havilah's green smoothies, David's chipotle black beans, Nan's cucumber salad, and Gladys & Richard's hummus.

Next Wednesday, August 11th at 6:00 PM, we will hear more about the Eco-Logical Communities Project, a very cool and comprehensive, even revolutionary effort to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of Fayetteville as a total community.  Michelle Halsell will come tell us about it.  Where we get our food plays as much of a role in our carbon footprint as our transportation and other lifestyle choices.  Bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share and hear more.

You needn't be vegetarian to attend these potlucks, just interested and willing to try new things. For more information, contact Dan Dean at exequals@hotmail.com

Car directions to OMNI: Take College to Harold St (at Flying Burrito), turn east (right if you're heading north). Go one block to Lee and turn left. Go one block to Bertha and you’re there. Gray brick on the right.
