Please click on individual images to enlarge view of Red-spotted purple, aka red-spotted admiral and Limenitis arthemis astyanax on August 2, 2010, where some of its host plants are abundant on the edges and in the central flow area of World Peace Wetland Prairie. It looks similar to the pipevine swallowtail and the larger female Diana fritillary.
