Thanks for posting the photographs of Greathouse Park and for mentioning our cleanup. We appreciate all that you do for the neighborhood and the community, and remember well your being awarded the AFSCME Community Service Award.

I apologize for not getting there before the rain to help clean it up but another chore delayed me until the rain hit. Always late!
You all did a great job filling several bags and leaving the area pristine!
I love going to that park when it is flooded. But the houses immediately to the west have been flooded in the past, so the residents fear heavy rain more and more as the land upstream near the Wal-Mart on MLK and upstream along the I-540 right of way suffers constant new construction and paving.
In addition to the arm of the Town Branch from the west that flows under that bridge built in 2000 or 2001, the park is bordered on its southeast edge by the Cato Springs Branch, which may also see a drastic rise in flood levels if the Cummings property, aka Southpass, is ever cleared for construction.
