Report on the big hole-tel in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas, on July 19, 2009

Please click on images to ENLARGE view of the Big HOLE-TEL, aka macadam parking lot with no free parking just west of South College Avenue and a block from the Fayetteville Farmer's Market on the city square.

Shouldn't the taxpayers in the TIF district get free parking if for some strange reason they should need to park there?

Some one paid the bucks to park there?

Aub, I know you don't solicit negative posts on your blogs but this is just opening the door for a lot of angry taxpayers to blasts this absurdity!

Brought to you by Dan and the developers.

It is weird seeing these people who could con Mayor Coody and the council out of millions in tax revenue to destroy and basically GIVE them that still repairable and beautiful old hotel and even pay to tear it down but now begging for a few bucks from people who might occasionally choose to park there.

The whole problem is about people with dreams of endless wealth depending on borrowed money and stolen tax money to put them in the catbird's seat.
The city should be able to SEE the CASH before being expected to approve projects.
And projects should be COMPLETED before developers could get a second project approved. Can you spell SOUTHPASS?

Aub, I have a lot of words for this, but maybe saying AMEN to all the above is the safe route to take.
Stay the course!
