Your photos have gotten weaker since you got one wet taking that same photo last year and got the camera wet. Why don't you spend the bucks to get a waterproof digital that you can use in the rain without risk of major loss? I want to see those shots with the rain drops on the lens not what you get after you wait for the rain to end.
