Transportation Department brings its bad-management practices to South Duncan Avenue on a rainy Monday morning
Grassy swale being destroyed and pipe put in that will speed flow directly downstream and threaten two houses.

They are mowing in the rain on the right-of-way along Hwy 265 S. now. In the rain! Making muddy tracks with their heavy machinery as deep as the culverts they are clearing.
Hard piping storm water just concentrates and speeds it to somewhere else. We should as a City be in the lead in installing bio-swales and ways to slow the water and allow it to absorb into the ground. We have a councilperson, Sara Lewis, who is an expert in these methods.
