I want to tell aub that the bug isn't a cricket. But I can't figure out what it really is. Anybody got a true ID for this wonderful creature?

It's a Megacyllene robiniae - Locust Borer!
Very impressive, but apparently its larvae feed on black locust trees.
Adults feed mostly on goldenrod pollen.
