I had no idea that these flowers were native to prairies in the Ozark Plateau.

WPWP Volunteer says:

"This flower was planted in the front 1/2 acre of the park, in the parking area. The front portion of this park has been made into a sitting/reflecting park, not a part of the ecological preservation of the wetland area further back on the parcel."
