The following is a message from the host of Cost of Delay Vigil, the Cost of Delay Vigil that you signed up to attend:

Inclement Weather? Bah!

This event could not come at a more critical time in the negotiations. Harry Reid is rumored to be considering potential compromises this week, so these vigils are a huge, timely opportunity to shore up progressives/fence sitters and hold decision makers accountable. So, know that a small-but-mighty vigil in bad weather is actually sending a really powerful message. (Not to mention, upping our chances of getting some great coverage, showing our members as the tough, brave souls we are, out in the cold and/or rain for the fight!)

We will keep things short and punchy. Even a very brief vigil, 20 minutes or so, with press, can be really powerful- just enough time to talk to interested reporters and meet one another.

For those who are interested and able, we will meet at Arsaga's at Township and Gregg afterwards for a coffee and warmth.

Dress warmly and bring a raincoat or umbrella. And don't forget your flashlight and/or cell phone (if the rain gives us a reprieve!). See you there tonight!
