Robert Williams spots geese on Aspen Ridge on February 29, 2008

Robert Williams of South Hill Avenue in Fayetteville, Arkansas, looks southeast across the deserted Aspen Ridge construction site on February 29, 2008. Three Canada geese seemed unconcerned about people walking by.

A zoom lens captured an image of the geese from afar on February 29, 2008.

A March 2, 2007, photo shows two of the three in nearly the same spot but seen from the opposite direction. These are the same two geese that have nested on the stormwater-detention pond at Baum baseball stadium at Razorback Road and Fifteenth Street for several years. The 2007 photo shows green grass on the slope, thanks to the fact that February was warmer and the slope that been seeded only a few months earlier. Repeated rain has eroded the slope and likely taken away much of the seed left from 2007.

A July 17, 2007, photos shows geese after nesting season at the Baum baseball stadium detention pond.

May 8, 2007, photo of the geese on Pinnacle Prairie wetland northeast of Pinnacle Foods Inc. factory.

You still pursue wildlife like a hunter. I bet you didn't go goose hunting with a gun in awhile.
