Associated Press, Arkansas Democrat/Gazette report that Missouri legislator finds rare Ozark underground species in back yard

Please click on images to Enlarge April 28, 2004, photos from what now is known as the Hill Place student-apartment development site. These photos were taken looking west between the west border of the Moody property and the Town Branch.
What would workers have found if they had dug here before the floodway on the east side of the Town Branch of the West Fork of the White River was cleared of timber and covered with yellow non-absorbent dirt for the Aspen Ridge project in 2005?

You're just a swamp lover. At least you got to photograph that one before it was drained.

And he is a dreamer who imagines that a majority of the council or the mayor will ever understand enough biology to appreciate the potential value of threatened and endangered species.
Get a life, Aub. Go fishing and floating and write about the things you used to when I was a kid in Fort Smith reading your column in the Southwest Times Record.
You can't get people with no outdoor experience to relate to the things you write about. Just get out and enjoy what is left of northwest Arkansas. Maybe you can find someone to carpool. I found your number in the phone book. Do you mind if I call and invite you to float the War Eagle with me?
