Where are the dark-skinned residents of that neighborhood? Your pictures show nothing but city staff members and a bunch of mostly well-heeled white people.

Are you ignoring the fact that charrette participants are the usual suspects?

You need to be there, anonymous. Or, better yet, hit the streets of south Fayetteville and knock on doors and tell people why THEY need to be there. The staff has done a good job of publicizing these meetings, but many people need a personal invitation to get them to even consider participating.

You'll enjoy meeting the NON usual suspects and get a whole new perspective.

I won't go because it would be a waste of time. If I had a great idea it would be to let the owners keep their property and let the developers stay at home somewhere to the north. We don't need higher rent and YOU KNOW THAT the plan is to push us out and replace us with fastfood and such. Anybody want a three-dollar cup of coffee on S. School?
