Washington County has for a long time been mysteriously reluctant to have a burn ban even in windy droughts. Is there a reason? We've got a new fire marshal and so I thought things would improve. I heard (from TV) just a few days ago there was a burn ban. This was after weeks of scarily dry weather with no burn ban. Although there was (maybe) a 1 or 2 day ban (again, TV) at the beginning of this drought, it seems to have been lifted and then reinstated just before the rain. Or is this only a communication problem?
